The Center for Teacher Education at National Chung Cheng University is dedicated to preparing outstanding secondary school teachers who possess strong professional knowledge, educational commitment, practical competence, and a global perspective. Established in 1995 in response to the implementation of Taiwan’s Teacher Education Act and the growing demand for high-quality teachers, the Center has played an important role in teacher preparation and educational development. In 2004, the Center was officially renamed the Center for Teacher Education to further strengthen its professional mission and organizational functions.

Over the years, the Center has earned a strong reputation for excellence in teacher education. It has received top ratings in multiple evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education and continues to demonstrate outstanding performance in curriculum development, teaching practicum programs, and teacher professional development.
